Below is a fairly complete list of all those who have contributed to this website. The Quagliata Family Genealogy Project would like to thank all of the family members who have so generously contributed time, information, documents, photos and hard work. It's amazing to think that a few years ago, in 2001, when Richard Quagliata and I (Michael Quagliata) first published the project on the Internet, we only knew of our own closely related Quagliata families, the branch in Cleveland, OH and Louis Quagliata's branch, originally of Sant'Alessio Siculo, Sicily. Now we know Quagliatas all over the world and most of those are fairly closely related - branched from the main tree in the last 100 years or so. This webpage has really brought us all together. Everyone we come in contact with loves looking at the photos, reading the stories and checking out Richard's Chart. The work is largely done by family members who take the time to provide information, stories and photos. Even on the rare occasions when we are contacted by other ancestry websites, they often comment on what a great website we have. In our wildest dreams, Richard and I never thought we'd be able to reach the amount of people the website has brought to us. Family members that visit tell us how appreciative and proud they are of the website. Everyone that has contributed can feel a special pride in a job well done and well appreciated. Thanks to all.

MICHAEL QUAGLIATA (b.1953) - Michael is a great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage. Michael is a member of the Chicago Quagliata family, but his branch is now located in Michigan. He's the webmaster of this website and is responsible for updating the website with information sent in by contributors. Michael was contacted by his distant cousin, Richard Quagliata, in 1999 and they began to piece together the family history. Michael has contributed photos, documents and genealogical listings, as well as running the website.

RICHARD QUAGLIATA (b.1955) - Richard is a great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage. Richard is a member of the St. Louis Quagliata family. Richard contacted his distant cousin, Michael Quagliata, in 1999 and they began to piece together the family history. Richard has contributed photos, documents and "Richard's Chart" - the chart contains a complete genealogical listing of the current state of our information.

JOHN QUAGLIATA (b.1940) - John is a member of the Cleveland Quagliata family. They are from Sant'Alessio Siculo, Sicily. With his contribution of a detailed family listing going all the back to the 1700s, John has helped us untangle some wrong conclusions and also helped to join up together three branches of the Quagliata family from Sant'Alessio. Although John started contributing to our project relatively recently, in 2005, he certainly deserves special recognition on our contributors list. He has done a tremendous amount work and spent many hours researching the family genealogy, using his knowledge and access to birth, marriage and death records from Italy. Besides the huge job John did on his own branch of the family, he has generously found time to help out others with their family listings, including the NYC/Connecticut Quagliata family. So a very special thanks to John. Although it's certain we are related, it appears that John's branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

VITTORIO QUAGLIATA (Milan, Italy) - Vittorio's family is from Caltanissetta, Sicily. He currently lives in Milan and is a long-time contributor to our project. This is the Vittorio quoted in the "Welcome" section of the main webpage. He has corresponded with Richard and I about family history and is the man we go to when we need an Italian document translated. Vittorio's research lead to the 2007 discovery of a very important booklet by Iana Quagliata which pushed our genealogy listing back to the 1500s to include Giovan Domencio Quagliata (1570?-16??), whose offspring included the great painter Giovan Battista Quagliata (1603-1673), the Quagliatas of Sant'Alessio Siculo and Forza D'Agro, and possibly all the other Quagliatas in Sicily. There's also a good possibility that Giovan Domenico ties together the mainland and Sicilian Quagliata lineages. Vittorio's lengthy and continued support deserves special recognition on our contributors list and a special thanks. Currently, Vittorio is working on a genealogy chart of his family. It appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).'s

IANA QUAGLIATA (Monza, Italy) - Iana's family is from Forza D'Agro, Sicily. Since our main tree is from Forza, Iana is most likely related to Mario Quagliata (1843-19??), but at this time, we don't know the nature of the relationship. Iana deserves special recognition on our contributors list and a special thanks for the very important research and work she contributed on the life of Giovan Battista Quagliata (1603-1673). Her contribution pushed our genealogy listing back to the 1500s to include Giovan Domencio Quagliata (1570?-16??), whose offspring included the great painter Giovan Battista Quagliata (1603-1673), the Quagliatas of Sant'Alessio Siculo and Forza D'Agro, and possibly all the other Quagliatas in Sicily. There's also a good possibility that Giovan Domenico ties together the mainland and Sicilian Quagliata lineages. Many thanks to Iana for her important contribution.

MARIO M. QUAGLIATA (b.1907-1995) - Mario was a grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage and the grandfather of Michael Quagliata (b.1953). In the early 1980s, when Michael first began to collect family information, Mario provided Michael with a lot of family history as well as the great photo of Mario and Maria Quagliata taken about 1895. Mario was born in Termini, Sicily, immigrated to the US in 1913 at age six and eventually became the patriarch of the Chicago Quagliata family.

JOSEPH QUAGLIATA (1930-2013) - Joseph is a great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage and the father of Michael Quagliata (b.1953). Joseph is a member of the Chicago Quagliata family, but he now lives in Michigan. Joseph provided us with family history and Quagliata contacts outside our immediate family. Throughout his career with General Motors, Joseph did business traveling. Through contacts he made while traveling, Joseph provided us with information on the Cleveland Quagliata family and Louis Quagliata's branch originally from Sant'Alessio Siculo.

ANN [PLECAS] QUAGLIATA (b.1932-2002) - Ann was married to Joseph Quagliata, a great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage. Through Joseph, Ann was a member of the Chicago Quagliata, but her branch is now located in Michigan. Ann is the mother of Michael Quagliata (b.1953). She contributed genealogy listings for "Michael Quagliata's Tree List", as well as information on family history.

ANGELO QUAGLIATA (b.1983) - Angelo is the great great grandson of Angelo Quagliata (1887-19??), son of my great great grandfather Mario Quagliata (1843-19??). Angelo lives in northern Italy near Turin. We're very happy that someone from his branch has discovered our website. Angelo contributed some genealogical listings for his branch of our family tree.

ROSE [QUAGLIATA] PETRELLA (b.1936) - Rose is a great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage and the aunt of Michael Quagliata (b.1953). Rose is a member of the Chicago Quagliata family, and speaks and reads Italian. Rose has contributed genealogical listings and her extensive knowledge of family history and home towns in Sicily and Italy, as well as some wonderful photos, including the newly rescanned photo of Mario and Maria Quagliata taken about 1895 that now contains the original border.

KYLE PAGNUTTI (b. N/A) - Kyle is the great grandson of Maria (Anna) Quagliata whose ancestral lineage goes back to Sebastiano Quagliata (16??-1???) - the patriarch of the large Castellammare del Golfo family line. We are extremely greatful for the extensive work Kyle has done to connect all the Castellammare lineages. At this time we are still unable to connect the Castellammare lineages to our main tree.

JOHN CICCHIANI (b.1927) - John is the husband of Grace Quagliata, a great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage and the aunt of Michael Quagliata (b.1953). John contributed a nicely done genealogical listing of his family – the Cicchiani family, originally from the town of Scoppito, northeast of Rome.

LINDA [QUAGLIATA] KENNEY (b.1945) - Linda is the great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Linda is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. She contributed a lot of work she had done on her family's history, photos and the great narrative of the Rochester/Lyons' family history.

SAM QUAGLIATA (b.1959) - Sam is the great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Sam is a member of the Sydney, Australia Quagliata family and has contributed historical family information, genealogical listings and photos.

FRANCESCA [QUAGLIATA] PANUCCIO (b.1962) - Francesca is a great great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage, and a cousin (third cousin once removed) of Sam Quagliata (b.1959) above. Francesca contributed a lot of genealogical information to help fill in the Sydney Australia Quagliata branches of our family tree.

GINO CASSANITI (b.1974) - Gino is a great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and a cousin (third cousin once removed) of Sam Quagliata (b.1959) above. Gino contributed genealogical information on his branch of our family tree.

SHERYL QUAGLIATA (b.1951) - Sheryl is married to Carmelo Quagliata, the great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Carmelo is the brother of Sam Quagliata listed above. Sheryl contributed some corrections to the listing of her branch.

JOANNE CURRO (b.1959) - Joanne is the great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Sydney, Australia Quagliata family. Joanne has contributed historical family information as well as genealogical listings.

ROSARIA [SARA] MARIA [QUAGLIATA] HUGHES (b.?) - Sara is the great great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Sydney, Australia Quagliata family. She lives in Tully North Queensland. Sara contributed the genealogical listing of her branch, as well as photos and documents.

CARLO QUAGLIATA (b.1959) - Carlo, who lives in Pennsylvania, is the great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. He is a member of the Long Island Quagliata family that may be related to the Cleveland, OH family. Carlo contributed a genealogical listing.

BRENDA [BURT] SMITH (b.1966) - Brenda is married to Jeff Smith, the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Brenda and Jeff are members of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Brenda did quite a bit of work for us and contributed family historical information, genealogical listings, documents and photos.

JEFF QUAGLIATA (b.1971) - Jeff is the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. In the late 1980s, while on a business trip to Atlanta, Joseph Quagliata (b.1930) checked the phone book and called Jeff. At the time, Jeff wasn't sure whether his family was related. Years later, we found Jeff's family was related and Jeff contributed some genealogical information.

MICHAEL QUAGLIATA (b.1976) - Michael is the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Michael contributed some historical family information and genealogical listings. Michael's sister Jennifer also made contributions.

JENNIFER QUAGLIATA (b.1978) - Jennifer is the great great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Jennifer did a lot of work converting genealogical listings from her cousin Brenda Smith into the format use on "Richard's Chart" as well as completing many of the listings. Jennifer's brother Michael also made contributions.

ANDREW QUAGLIATA (b.1979) - Andrew is the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Andrew contributed some historical and genealogical information on his branch of the family.

MICHAEL PISA - Michael is the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Michael contributed some updated genealogical listings for his branch of the family.

NATHAN STEELE (b.1977) - Nathan is great great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's second marriage. Nathan contributed some updated genealogical listings for his branch of the family.

RITA [PATTI] QUAGLIATA (Ayr, AUS) - Rita is married to Joseph Quagliata, the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Rita and Joseph are members of the Ayr, Australia Quagliata family. Rita did a lot of work, contributing genealogical listings, photos and a great narrative of the family history.

TAYLA [DRAIN] QUAGLIATA (Ayr, AUS) - Tayla is married to Rita Quagliata's (listed just above) son, Christopher Quagliata. Tayla contributed an updated genealogical listing to her lineage.

MARY [VELLA] TROVATO (b.1942) - Mary is married to Leonardo Carmelo "Charlie Trovato, the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Mary and Charlie are members of the Ayr, Australia Quagliata family. Mary did a lot of work, contributing genealogical listings, documents, photos and some historical family information.

RUSSELL ERRIGO (b.1965) - Russell is the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Russell contributed some genealogical information.

DON ERRIGO (NY) - Don is the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Don contributed some genealogical information.

JENNIFER MARIE ERRIGO (b.1959) - Jennifer is the great great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage and is a member of the Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Jennifer contributed some genealogical information.

J QUAGLIATA (Long Island, NY) - J Quagliata's family is from Sicily. Originally, we had very little information on his family except for the genealogical list he contributed. However, after receiving some information from Antoinette Quagliata (see below), we have found that J Quagliata's family is descended from Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) first marriage and is part of the branch from Joseph Quagliata of Castellammare del Golfo. This makes J Quagliata the great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

ANTOINETTE QUAGLIATA (Long Island, NY) - Antoinette is the great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) and is a member of the Long Island Quagliata family. Her family is from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily. Antoinette contributed a genealogical listing and some family history that helped us link a listing from the "Lineages of Unknown Linkage" to the main tree.

CAROL BOWLER (New York) - Carol is the great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Carol's mother was Anna Quagliata. Carol contributed some corrections to his family's listing.

CHRISTINE LAVILLA (New York) - Christine is the great great great granddaughter of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. She is part of the large Rochester/Lyons Quagliata family. Her grandmother is Jane [Quagliata] Cacciola and her mother is Marie [Cacciola] Graef. Chris contributed a genealogical listing of her branch of the family.

MARY DIANNE GABRIELLI (b.1968) - Mary is married to Antonio Gabrielli, the great great great grandson of Mario Quagliata (1843-19??) through Mario's first marriage. Mary and Antonio are members of the Ayr, Australia Quagliata family. Mary sent us some genealogical corrections.

KATHERINE IPPOLITI (Pennsylvania) - Katherine's paternal grandmother was Carmela Quagliata. Carmela's father, Francesco Quagliata was probably from Forza D'Agro, Sicily. Since our main tree is from Forza, Francesco was most likely related to Mario Quagliata (1843-19??), but at this time, we don't know the nature of the relationship. Katherine contributed a genealogical listing of her family.

CARLO IPPOLITI (USA) - Carlo's paternal grandmother was Carmela Quagliata and he is the brother of Katherine Ippoliti above. Carmela's father, Francesco Quagliata was probably from Forza D'Agro, Sicily. Since our main tree is from Forza, Francesco was most likely related to Mario Quagliata (1843-19??), but at this time, we don't know the nature of the relationship. Carlo contributed a genealogical listing of her family.

ALFIO QUAGLIATA (Terme Vigliatore, Sicily) - Alfio's family traces back to Linguaglossa, Sicily where his grandfather, Alfio Quagliata (1862-1949) was born. Alfio contributed family history and a genealogical listing. It is most likely Alfio's family is related to our main tree through Mario Quagliata's (1843-19??) first marriage, but we have yet to confirm this.

LOUIS QUAGLIATA (Milan, Italy) - Louis' family was originally from Sant'Alessio Siculo, Sicily. Louis was born in Rome and then his family moved to New York. Later, he was in Boston attending MIT where my father, who was on a business trip, found Louis' name in the phonebook and called him. Louis is now in Milan, Italy. Louis contributed a lot of family history and lineage information. Thanks to Louis and his nephew, Orfeo Quagliata, we have a genealogical listing of their family. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

ORFEO QUAGLIATA (Mexico City) - Orfeo is Louis Quagliata's nephew and a member of the Sant'Alessio Siculo Quagliata family. Orfeo contributed some genealogical information and photos. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

ROBERTO QUAGLIATA (Rome) - Roberto's family was also originally from Sant'Alessio Siculo, Sicily. Roberto sent in some genealogical information that indicated his family and Louis Quagliata's family are related through a relative named Paolino Quagliata. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

NATALIE QUAGLIATA (OH/DC) - Natalie is John Quagliata's (see above) niece. Natalie contributed some historical family information, genealogical listings and a photo. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

LEONARDO QUAGLIATA (b.1953) - Leonardo's family was originally from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, but Leonardo lives in Rome. Leonardo sent some genealogical information. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

JOSEPHINE "JOANNE" QUAGLIATA (b.1953) - Joanne's family was also originally from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, but family is now centered in New York City - the NYC/Castellammare Quagliata family. Joanne sent in some genealogical information. Joanne's cousin, Joseph Quagliata also contributed some information. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

JOSEPH QUAGLIATA (NYC) - Joseph is a member of the NYC/Castellammare Quagliata family and his father's name is Salvatore Quagliata. Joseph contributed some genealogical information. Joseph's cousin, Joanne Quagliata also contributed some information. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

DANIEL P QUAGLIATA (NYC) - Daniel is another member of the NYC/Castellammare Quagliata family. Daniel contributed some genealogical information. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

NICHOLAS QUAGLIATA (Houston, TX) - Nicholas is another member of the NYC/Castellammare Quagliata family, although Nicholas now lives in Houston, Texas. Nicholas contributed a genealogical listing as well as some family history. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

RAMIRO QUAGLIATA (Argentina) - Ramiro is a member of one of the Quagliata families in Argentina. His great-great-grandfather is Giuseppe Mario Quagliata born in 1877 in Forza d'Agro, Sicily Ramiro contributed well researched genealogical listings for a number of branches, including his family branch. Currently, it appears that his branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

AMANDA QUAGLIATA (Houston, TX) - Amanda is also a member of the NYC/Castellammare Quagliata family, and is the daughter of Nicholas Quagliata (above). Amanda contribute some genealogy information. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

NINA [QUAGLIATA] PUCCIO (Las Vegas) - Nina is another member of the NYC/Castellammare Quagliata family. Nina has contributed some great photos and a large genealogical listing. Many thanks for all her help. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

VINCENT MATULEWICH (b.1981) - Vincent is the great great great grandson of Salvatore Quagliata (18??-18??) from Castellammare, Sicily and is another member of the NYC/Castellammare Quagliata family. Vincent contributed some corrections and additional genealogical information. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

ANTHONY [QUAGLIATA] GALIER (Oklahoma City, OK) - Anthony's family name was originally Quagliata and they were from Castellammare Del Golfo. His grandfather, Victor Quagliata, immigrated to Cleveland about 1912. Victor's employer encouraged him to change his name. After Vincent changed his name to Galier, the rest of his brothers also did. Anthony contributed a family listing and some family history. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

TIMOTHY [QUAGLIATA] GALIER (Los Angeles, CA) - Timothy is related to Anthony Galier (listed above). Timothy is the great-great grandson of Pietro Quagliata (1870-19??). Timothy contributed a family listing and some family history. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

VINCENT [QUAGLIATA - GALIER] CESARE (N/A) - Vincent is related to the Galier family members listed above. He is the great grandson of Pietro Quagliata (1870-19??). Vincent has contributed family a genealogy listings and some family history.

SUSAN BRUNASSO (N/A) - Susan is the sister-in-law of Vincent Cesare listed above. She contributed some research she did on the Quagliata family and helped Vincent Cesare, listed above, make his contributions to the Quagliata -Galier family lineage. Our thanks to Susan for her contribution and help.

RORY QUAGLIATA (New Brunswick, NJ) - Rory is married to Paul Edmund Quagliata (b.1946). Paul's family is originally from Messina, Sicily. Rory contributed a genealogical listing. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

SARAH DAVIES (New Brunswick, NJ) - Sarah contributed a genealogical listing for another New Brunswick Quagliata family. This family immigrated from the Messina area where they were lemon farmers. Sarah was originally married to Rosario (Russell) Quagliata. They had two children: Justin and Elise Quagliata. Currently, it appears that this branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

MELCHOR QUAGLIATA (NYC) - Melchor is a member of yet another NYC Quagliata family. The family is originally from Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily. Melchor's grandfather, Melchor Quagliata (same name), immigrated to Argentina, and then Melchor's father immigrated to NYC. They still have family in Argentina. Melchor contributed some family history and a genealogical listing. Currently, it appears that their branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

MIKE PAGANO (CT) - Mike is a member of the NYC/Connecticut Quagliata family. The family is originally from Forza D'Agro, Sicily. Mike's great grandmother, Concetta Quagliata married Stefano Pagano, immigrated to Cleveland and then moved to NYC. Mike contributed a genealogical listing and some family history. Currently, it appears that this branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

STEFANIE PAGANO (CT) - Stefanie is a member of the NYC/Connecticut Quagliata family and a cousin to Mike Pagano mentioned above. The family is originally from Forza D'Agro, Sicily. Stefanie's great grandmother, Concetta Quagliata married Stefano Pagano, immigrated to Cleveland and then moved to NYC. Stefanie contributed some corrections to the family listing. Currently, it appears that this branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

ELAINE LOUISE [PAGANO] SLOAN (USA) - Elaine is another member of the NYC/Connecticut Quagliata family, and is related to Mike Pagano who is her father's brother's grandson. Elaine contributed a genealogical listing. Currently, it appears that this branch meets the main tree at some point before Mario Quagliata (1843-19??).

ANTHONY QUAGLIATA (Long Island, New York) - Anthony's family is from Castellammare Del Golfo, Sicily. His father, Melchiorre Quagliata immigrated to Brooklyn and then moved to Long Island. Anthony contributed a family listing. Currently, it appears that Anthony's branch is not related to the main tree we are developing, but is possibly related at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

DAVID J POYNTER (Brooklyn, New York) - David is helping his wife Geri (a Quagliata decendent) with her family tree. The family is from Sicily and the patriarch's name is Anthony Quagliata (1882-1975). David and Geri contributed a family listing. At this time, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

STEVEN LYNCHARD (Deer Park, New York) - Steven's great great grandfather is Antonio (Anthony) Quagliata (1882-1975), who was born in Castellammare Del Golfo, Sicily. So David is related to David Poynter's wife, Geri, from the above listing. Steven has contributed a genealogical listing of his branch. At this time, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

HUMBERTO QUAGLIATA (Madrid, Spain) - Humberto's family is originally from the mainland of southern Italy. Humberto's father immigrated to Montevideo, Uruguay, and Humberto eventually moved to Madrid. Humberto contributed some information on family history. FRANCIS QUAGLIATA (Virginia) - Francis is married to Eilynn Seballos Quagliata, listed below. Francis' family was originally from Balvano, Italy, on the mainland of southern Italy, southeast of Naples. Francis' father and mother immigrated to Uruguay after the second world war and eventually ended up in New Jersey. Francis now lives in Virginia with his wife, Eilynn and their three children. Francis contributed a genealogical listing. LUCIANO HUMBERTO QUAGLIATA (Argentina) - Luciano's family is originally from Balvano, Italy, on the mainland of southern Italy, southeast of Naples. Luciano's father, Pascual Umberto Quagliata (1934-2000), immigrated to Argentina in 1906. Luciano contributed family historical information and a genealogical listing. AGUSTINA QUAGLIATA (Argentina) - Agustina's is Luciano Quagliata's neice (he's listed above). The family is originally from Balvano, Italy, on the mainland of southern Italy, southeast of Naples. Agustina's grandfather, Pascual Umberto Quagliata (1934-2000), immigrated to Argentina in 1906. Agustina contributed additional genealogical listings. ANTONY QUAGLIATA (Belgium) - Antony's family is originally from Balvano, Italy, on the mainland of southern Italy, southeast of Naples. Antony's father, Domenico Quagliata (1911-1977), immigrated to Belgium to marry Rosa Casale (1916-1980). Antony contributed family historical information and a genealogical listing. Currently, it appears that Antony's branch is not related to the main tree we are developing, but is possibly related at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

MARTIN FERNANDEZ QUAGLIATA (Montevideo, Uruguay) - Martin's family branch is currently located in Uruguay. Martin's grandfather, Vincente Quagliata (b.1932), has been researching the branch's history and has found that his father, Constantino Quagliata was born in Potenza, Italy and immigrated to Uruguay from Balvano. Martin is a cousin fo Valentina Quagliata, listed below. Martin contributed a genealogical listing of his branch of the family. Currently, it appears that Martin's branch is the main tree at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

VALENTINA QUAGLIATA (Montevideo, Uruguay) - Valentina's family branch is currently located in Uruguay and she is a cousin to Martin Fernandez Quagliata listed above. Valentina's great grandfather, Constantino (Constante?) Quagliata, was born in Potenza about 1886 and immigrated to Uruguay in 1900 at 14 years of age. Valentina contributed a genealogical listing. Currently, it appears that Valentina's branch is related to the main tree at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

FILOMENA DI STASIO (Vancouver BC) - Filomena's family is also originally from Balvano, Italy. Filomena's great grandfather, Gerardo Quagliata was born in Balvano. Her grandmother, Filomena Quagliata had six siblings: Antonio (mentioned above), Carmela, Vencenzo, Carmine, Giuseppina and Giuseppe. Filomena married Mattia Di Stasio and eventually immigrated to Canada. Filomena contributed a genealogical listing. Currently, it appears that Gerardo's branch is not related to the main tree we are developing, but is possibly related at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

NATALIE QUAGLIATA (Cologne, Germay) - Natalie's family is from Napoli, Italy. Her grandfather's name was Giuseppe and her father's name is Vittorio. Natalie contributed a family listing and continues to contribute updates. At this time, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

UMBERTO QUAGLIATA (Piacenza, Italy) - Umberto's is an uncle of Natalie Quagliata (see above). Their family is originally from Napoli, Italy, on the mainland of southern Italy. Umberto's father, Giuseppe Quagliata was born in Napoli in August of 1882. Umberto's grandfather name was Pietro Quagliata. Umberto contributed family historical information and a genealogical listing. Currently, it appears that Umberto's branch is not related to the main tree we are developing, but is possibly related at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

VALERIA QUAGLIATA (Italy) - Valeria is a cousin to Natalie (listed above) and another nice of Umberto (listed above). Her grandfather's name was Giuseppe and her father's name is Claudio. Valeria contributed additional family listings. At this time, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

VALERIA QUAGLIATA (Buenos Aires) - Valeria is a member of the Castellammare Quagliata branch. Her great great grandfather is Santiago Quagliata (1880?-19??). Valeria contributed additional family listings. At this time, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

PATRIZIA QUAGLIATA (Napoli, Italy) - Patrizia is a member of the Napoli Quagliata family and believes her family was originally from Sicily, even though her grandfathers were from Naples. She is interested in gathering more information, but currently has very little. Patrizia contributed a family listing. At this time, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

ADAM QUAGLIATA (Phoenix, Arizona) - Adam is looking for help in researching his family history. His grandfather's name was Savario Quagliata and he was from northern Italy. The family immigrated to Long Island, New York. Unfortunately that is the only information we have. Adam contributed a family listing. At this time, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

SALVATORE CORSO (Rome, Italy) - Salvatore's family is from Caltanissetta, Sicily. His grandmother is Laura Quagliata. Salvatore currently lives in Rome and is a cousin of our long-time contributor Vittorio Quagliata. Salvatore's grandmother, Laura Quagliata was a sister to Vittorio's grandfather, Vittorio Quagliata - and the brother and sister were children of the family patriarch, Giuseppe Quagliata (1840?-1920). Salvatore has contributed genealogical listings and some family history. At this time, we are unable to determine where his branch meets the main tree.

STÉPHANE QUAGLIATA (Lyon, France) - Stéphane's family is from Morocco. However, our research indicates that Stéphane's great grandfather was most likely Agostino Quagliata (b.1878?), the first born son of Giuseppe Quagliata (1840?-1920), making him part of the Quagliata family from Caltanissetta, Sicily, and a relative of our contributors: Vittorio Quagliata and Salvatore Corso. Stéphane contributed a family listing, family history and an excellent photo. At this time, we are unable to determine where his branch meets the main tree.

TONI VALLEE (New York) - Toni's great grandmother was Gertrude Quagliata, born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, making Toni part of the Castellammare branch of the family. Toni provided us with information suggests this line is part of the large Castellammare lineage beginning with Sebastiano Quagliata (16??-1???), but more study is needed to confirm.

DONNA SCHIAZZA (Ohio) - Donna's great grandmother was Anna Quagliata. She was born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy to Paquale Quagliata and his wife, Roselia. Anna married Vincenzo DiCocco and immigrated to Stubenville, Ohio in 1913. Donna contributed a genealogical listing and some family history. Currently, it appears that Donna's branch is not related to the main tree we are developing, but is possibly related at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

DINAH RAI (DICOCCO) HOOVER (Ohio) - Dinah's grandmother was Anna Quagliata (married to Vincenzo DiCocco), and Dinah is related to Donna Schiazza listed above. Dinah contributed a genealogical listing which was sent in by her husband Andrew Hoover. Currently, it appears that Dinah's branch is not related to the main tree we are developing, but is possibly related at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

BRYAN DICOCCO (Location?) - Bryan's great grandmother was Anna Quagliata (married to Vincenzo DiCocco), and Bryan is related to Donna Schiazza and Dinah Hoover listed above. Bryan contributed an genealogical listing and is enlisting help from others members of his family. Currently, it appears that Bryan's branch is not related to the main tree we are developing, but is possibly related at some point further back than we've been able to trace.

CAPRICE ANN QUAGLIATA (New York) - Caprice's grandfather, Joseph V Quagliata was born in approximately 1938. Caprice didn't have much family information, but contributed what she could. Joseph married Elena (maiden name unknown) and they had a daughter named Sue Quagliata who is Caprice's mother. Since we don't know where Caprice's branch came from in Italy, we are unable to determine where her branch meets the main tree.

CARLOS FEDERICO POLI (Buenos Aires) - Carlos is an attorney who represents Santiago Quagliata of Florencio Varela, Argentina. Carlos contributed a genealogical list of Santiago's family who originated in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily. At this time, we are unable to determine where Santiago's branch meets the main tree.

JAMIE GINDHART (N/A) - Jamie is the great granddaugter of Antoinette Quagliata. She sent a brief listing of her branch of the family. At this time, we are unable to determine where Jamie's branch meets the main tree.

COLLEEN WIERZBICKI (USA) - Colleen is the great granddaugter of Francesco Paulo Quagliata. After getting a bit of help from us, she was able to send a brief listing of her branch of the family. At this time, we are unable to determine where Colleen's branch meets the main tree.

SHEILA PERINO SAPIENZA (USA) - Sheila is a distant relative of the Quagliata family. She was in Castellammare doing some research on her family and came across of lot of Quagliata records. She generously offered to share her research with us and we are very grateful. Sheila contributed information on five Quagliata lineages from Castellammare. Many thanks to Sheila. At this time, we are unable to determine where these branches meet the main tree.

GILLES GUAGLIATA (USA) - Gilles emailed us looking for help researching his family. After he emailed us, we got some other emails from Guagliatas, so he got the ball rolling on information of the Guaglaita variant of the Quagliata surname. At this time, we believe the Guagliata surname was originally spelled Quagliata, but we are unable to determine when the change occurred.

RÉMI GUAGLIATA (France) - Rémi emailed to thank us for the information he gathered on our site, that helped him in his search for his ancestory, and the history of the Guagliata variant. Rémi contributed a genealogical listing of his family going back several generations. He has also found out when his surname changed from Quagliata to Guagliata: it was due to a wrong civil registration.

HENRY SPRANCE (New York) - Henry is the grandson of Ernesto Guaglaita. The family originated in Palermo, Sicily around 1860. Henry contributed a genealogical listing of his family. At this time, we believe the Guagliata surname was originally spelled Quagliata, but we are unable to determine when the change occurred.

JUSTIN GUAGLIATA (USA) - Justin's surname is a variant of the Quagliata surname. Justin's great grandfather is Ernesto Guagliata and he is related to Henry Sprance, listed above. The family is from Palermo, Sicily. Justin contributed some genealogical information. At this time, we believe the Guagliata surname was originally spelled Quagliata, but we are unable to determine when the change occurred.

VERA [GUAGLIATA] FARIELLO (USA) - Vera's surname is a variant of the Quagliata surname. Vera's grandfather is Ernesto Guagliata and she is related to Henry Sprance and Justin Guagliata, listed above. Vera contributed some genealogical information. At this time, we believe the Guagliata surname was originally spelled Quagliata, but we are unable to determine when the change occurred.

ANTHONY PALMISANO (USA) - Anthony's great grandmother is Frances Cecela Guagliata, originally from Termini Imerese, Sicily. She married Giuseppe Palmisano and together, they immigrated to the USA in 1903. It's possibly Anthony's branch is related to the other Guagliata branches we have. Anthony contributed a genealogical listing. With the current information, we are unable to determine if Anthony's branch is related to the main tree we are developing, but it is possibly related at some point in the past.

DOUGLAS [QUAGLIATO] QUAY (USA) - Doug's grandfather was Antonio Quagliato born in Pettorano Sul Gizio. Doug's father, Pasquale changed his surnam to Quay in 1945 after emmigrating to Stubenville, Ohio. It's possibly Doug's branch is related to the Quagliata branch we have from Pettorano Sul Gizio, and the spelling difference is just a historical variant of the same name. With the information Doug contributed we are currentlly unable to determine if Doug's branch is related to the main tree we are developing, but it is possibly related at some point in the past.
